Looking at the future with the launch of Data division

Airnow PLC, the app management and data intelligence platform, has announced the launch of Airnow Data as the business aims to become the go-to source to help publishers analyse, distribute, secure and monetise their apps.

Airnow Data is a mobile application intelligence platform that helps customers better understand their market by researching, benchmarking and tracking over 5million apps available from Apple and Google Play stores across 55 countries.

Airnow Data provides clients with six years’ worth of continually updated data categorised into the core products of App Intelligence, Keyword Intelligence, Market Intelligence and Usage Intelligence delivering a wide range of valuable metrics including Downloads, Revenue, DAUs (Daily Active Users), MAUs (Monthly Active Users), ARPDAU (Average Revenue Per Daily Active User) and Retention.

Partners including app developers, publishers, ad networks and mobile attribution companies provide granular, anonymised raw data at the device level. Once aggregated and modelled by Airnow Data scientists it enables brands, app publishers, advertising agencies and mobile networks to conduct targeted demographic campaigns.

Philip Marcella, CEO of Airnow PLC, said:

“The launch of Airnow Data is an exciting and significant milestone for the business. Few companies around the world can compete with the quality of information held by Airnow Data and, when combined with the other three pillars that comprise the services offered by Airnow PLC, this represents a major step forward in our quest to become the global number one source of information in the app ecosystem.”

Acquired as Priori Data in April 2018, the division has continued to perform in-line with expectations and saw sales increase throughout the second quarter of 2020 by 15%, despite coinciding with the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Tim Armes, Airnow Data Client Services Director, said:

“Although gaming remains an important revenue stream for Airnow Data, in the last 18 months the profile of our clients has changed as we have attracted customers from industries including automotive, consumables, investment and finance, retail and pharmaceuticals.

“We welcome new data partners, particularly those who are developers and publishers with apps that rank in their own category, and in return we offer free access to the data which provides a valuable source of business critical information for anyone interested in the business of mobile apps.”
